Halloween Treats!

We survived Halloween, but my dogs are worn out! I have two Sharpei's and I honestly believe that they think they are human! Gizmo, the male, watches for the children to come to the door, he grabs a stuffed toy from his toy box (Yes, I said his toy box) and he barks at the door with the toy in his mouth! How he does it is a mystery to me. I thought for this Halloween I had bought way too much candy, but 10 bags later I ran out and had to turn the porch light out! That was a first.... The kids costumes were so cute. The cutest one was this little girl maybe 4 or 5. She came to the door, saw Gizmo and pressed her face against the window beside the door and the more he barked at her the more she giggled. Jazz, the other member of our family, would peek out from between my legs at the trick or treaters and every so often she would sneak out onto the front porch and give them a good sniffin'. Our house is known as the Pixi Stick house! For about 8 years now, I always give out Pixi Stix with my candy assortment. The kids love them even though they are a cavity waiting to happen. After all, who am I to deny Halloween Happiness?

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

There is kind of a low buzz that we all in the scrapbooking world have heard. Some of us choose to ignore it others let it take away something inside that they really love. I'm talking about all of the scrapbooking stores that have closed as well as the manufacturers that have gone out of business. As an online scrapbooking store owner, I can honestly say that at different times I have done both! For this, I apologize. (Read the quote that I posted tonight) How true is that? Every time I have thought that I would have to close my business, my customers have come to my rescue. To all of you, you are an awesome group of people. Lately, I have felt as if I am on the roller coaster ride of my life and rightfully so. I have really had to have a talk with myself and "change my leisure thoughts" LOL!

Scrapbooking is NOT going away, it's just changing and if this is something that you enjoy doing, then you need to change with it! It's that simple.....

Braving our Spring Weather

Thank you to everyone who ventured out into the rain and snow to attend the first Scrapbook Crop & Shop with Crop-A-Roo. Despite the weather, we had a good turnout and made new friends. It just proves once again that you can't stop a scrapper when she has scrappin' on her mind.
